Travelling by car from Germany:

Take the Munich-Salzburg motorway (A8) to the Siegsdorf exit. From there continue in the direction of Inzell. Continue until you come to the Lofer junction. You will cross the German-Austrian border at Steinpaß, and from there continue on towards Lofer. From Lofer continue to Saalfelden and Zell am See. You’ll come to the Glemmtal exit in Maishofen. It’s just 14 km from there to Saalbach Hinterglemm. This route is toll-free!!

Travelling by car from Italy, Slovenia and
Croatia (via Villach):

Take the Villach-Salzburg Tauern motorway (A10) to the Bischofshofen intersection, take the Pinzgau Bundesstraße B311 in the direction of Zell am See, then continue on to Maishofen and Saalbach Hinterglemm.
